Secure Server

It's possible to order your own secure server. Some reasons might include:
- you are using ChurchWeb and want to make certain private information is secure
- you want to use FrontPage extensions on the secure server
- you want to setup a shopping cart and use your own merchant account for credit card processing

In that case, you'll need to order a secure server along with a digital certificate from a CA (Certificate Authority). Verisign and Thawte are the two most widely recognized and the most expensive. You can get one from us through GeoTrust for $39 per year.

To order a certificate and make your server secure, either specify it when ordering your domain or, if you are an existing client, just login to your account and click the upgrade link.

Here are the steps and fees to get your own secure server if you want to get a certificate other than the one we offer:

VERY IMPORTANT! Your Secure Server address will be yourdomain.com and when ordering your certificate from the Certificate Authority, you must use this domain. If you order the certificate wrong, your visitors will receive a 'pop-up' caution.

  • Send an email to support@ifbtech.com telling us you want to setup a secure server.
  • We will respond with your CSR
  • Go to a Certificate Authority and order your certificate paying them their fees.
  • When they issue your new certificate e-mail it to support@ifbtech.com
  • We will notify you of your new secure server set up
  • IFB Technologies' fees:
    Set up secure server and generate CSR: FREE
    Monthly dedicated IP & secure server fee: $3.00
